A group of Manitobans celebrated Louis Riel Day by creating the largest living Métis flag.
People gathered at the south tower of Fort Gibraltar yesterday to form the flag.
Organizers gave out blue plastic bags and white t-shirts to represent the colours of the Métis flag.
“The living flag is a chance for people to participate in something that’s a little bit different,” said organizer Colin Mackie. “And to also show their pride in being Manitoban.”
