A downtown store is saying goodbye to shoppers after two decades in business.

Buck or Two has been on the second floor of the Portage Place Shopping Centre for many years. Before that, it was on the lower level of the mall.

The store says it was recently unable to re-negotiate a lease to stay in the space.

The owner says she's sad to see the store close, because Buck or Two has many longtime staff and many great customers.

"As we always say, we have never been in business by ourselves. We got the best customers down here. We've got a really good community of people down here and we are going to miss them an awful lot," said Darlene Appleyard.

Right now everything except chips and pop are 25 per cent off. The owner says there is no plan to reopen at another location.

The store is closing to the public January 22. They will be out of the space by the end of the month.
