Police are searching for a ceramic pig signed by Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd after it was stolen in a bizarre break-in at a Winnipeg restaurant.

Nothing else appears to be missing from Lovey’s Barbeque after someone broke in around 2:00 a.m. on Friday. The pig, which sports sunglasses and a fedora, rested on a shelf near the entrance of the Marion Street establishment.

“We just kind of let him hang around here,” said owner Roger LeBleu.

LeBleu said the pig has sentimental value. Aykroyd signed it a couple of years ago after LeBleu treated him to some of his famous barbeque while the actor was in town promoting a new vodka.

“I think they were just looking for money but maybe this caught their eye and they thought it was a cool little thing and took it with them,” said LeBleu.

LeBleu said he hopes someone will recognize the pig and return it.
