Standing committee members to be named at city hall Wednesday

Winnipeg's new mayor and councillors are slated to sort out who will work on what committee Wednesday morning.

Voters chose Winnipeg’s new mayor on Oct. 22.

At his inauguration Brian Bowman announced his executive policy committee. Bowman named councillors Jeff Browaty, Mike Pagtakhan, Brian Mayes, John Orlikow, Marty Morantz and Janice Lukes to his inner circle.

The rest of the city committee assignments will be handed out at Wednesday’s meeting, including standing committee members.

Council meets starting at 9:30 a.m. at Winnipeg's city hall.
