Duffy’s Taxi says there was no wrongdoing by a driver after a Winnipeg woman’s claims was propositioned in a cab ride home.
On Nov. 6 around 3:30 a.m., Patricia Nosal said she got a Duffy’s cab from the Exchange District. On the way home, she said the driver asked if she would like to make some extra money.
When the cab dropped her off she said a another cab waiting by her house. She said a passenger got out and said he’d heard she wanted to make some extra money.

"They were literally putting me in a position of soliciting myself when I said no from the get go,” Nosal said Nov. 6 in an interview with CTV News.
In a statement to CTV News, Duffy's manager Ram Valluru said their investigation had cleared the driver.
"The Taxicab Board's investigation into this incident has found no wrongdoing and therefore the driver's suspension has been lifted. Any further inquiries into the investigation should be directed to the Taxicab Board," he said.
In a statement to CTV News on Sunday, Nosal said, “I’m respecting the process of the investigation, but I am very surprised to hear that the driver is back on the road.”

The Manitoba Taxicab Board licenses and regulates cabs in Winnipeg.
On Nov. 7, the board said there had been about 200 complaints to date, ranging from assistance with a lost item to driver misconduct.
The board said if a customer makes a complaint, it will be investigated. Following a hearing, the board said, a driver could be issued a fine, or have their taxicab licence suspended or cancelled.
In a phone call with CTV News Friday, the Manitoba Taxi Board said hearings into incidents and investigation are not public. The board said it could not comment on Nosal’s case due to privacy issues at this time.
