Winnipeg Jets rookie Nikolaj Ehlers scored a hat trick as the Jets dominated the Arizona Coyotes in the final game before the All Star break.

5-2 was the final score.

“The win for sure, of course it is awesome that I got the three goals but it was more important that we got the win for sure,” Ehlers said following the game. He now has 12 goals on the season.

Dustin Byfuglien had Winnipeg’s other two goals, his first of the night was a slap shot from the red line that fooled Coyotes goaltender Louis Domingue.

“Its pretty big for us to go into the break on a good note but we know when we come back there will be work to do," Byfuglien said.

The Jets win snapped a three game losing streak and sent Winnipeg off to the All Star break on a positive note.
