A head-on crash killed two people on Highway 16, east of Neepawa, around 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

RCMP announced Monday that an initial investigation showed a Dodge Caravan was headed westbound and collided with a Chevy truck, which was headed eastbound.

The driver of the van, a 77-year-old man from Winnipeg, was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP said the driver of the truck, a 65-year-old man from Elkhorn, was transported from the scene by paramedics in an ambulance but died from injuries.

A 50-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries.

RCMP continue to investigate the fatal crash.
