A man is dead in Manitoba’s first homicide of 2013.

Family members tell CTV News the victim is 25-year-old Peter Guimond, and that he was stabbed multiple times at his home.

On Tuesday at about 2 a.m., RCMP Powerview Detachment were dispatched to a residence on Black River First Nation where they found a deceased adult male.

RCMP is treating his death as a homicide and an investigation is underway. Family members of the victim say a man is in custody; RCMP were not able to confirm this information.
