A man sent to hospital after a head-on crash Wednesday morning near Dauphin, has died.

Dauphin RCMP said around 11:20 a.m., officers responded to a head-on collision between a car and a semi-truck on Highway 5.

The driver of the car, a 58-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His name will not be released.

RCMP said the driver of the semi was not injured.

Alcohol is not considered a factor in the collision.

The investigation continues.
