Winnipeg illusionist Darcy Oake has something new up his sleeve.

Overnight, he transformed into an Internet sensation.

He appeared on the TV show Britain's Got Talent Saturday.

Less than two days later, the online video of his act neared two million hits.

His performance left even the show's toughest judges spellbound.

“(He's) the best magician we have ever had," said Simon Cowell.

Oake crossed the pond just to take part in one of the world's top talent competitions, but the 26 year old has performed around the world for years and won international awards.

Now the thumbs up from all of Britain's Got Talent judges passes him through to the next round, where some performers will get the chance to compete for the top prize.

Oake dreams of having that magic moment.

A representative from Britain's Got Talents said Oake and other performers will find out if they’ve made it by mid-May.

The live shows then air the last week of May.
