Guests were forced from their suites Saturday evening after a fire broke out at a Nairn Avenue hotel.
Fire crews rushed to the La Salle Hotel around 4:30 p.m. to find a toaster had caught on fire in one of the suites.
Crews quickly extinguished the blaze, but several suites had to be evacuated. The fire caused $40,000 damage, and three people were treated for minor smoke inhalation at the scene.
