On Saturday morning Winnipeggers were invited to try their hand at tennis at the new tennis courts at Windsor Park Collegiate.

“I’d like to invite residents of Windsor Park, St. Boniface and Winnipeg to see what may be the best outdoor tennis courts in the City,” said Matt Allard, city councillor for St. Boniface.

Emerson Gusmini , a top Brazilian tennis coach, was present to help players up their game.

A partnership between the province and the City of Winnipeg gave $200,000 to make the project possible.

“This celebration is an example of what is possible, when the province, the city and the Louis Riel School division come together in partnership” said Brian Mayes, Winnipeg city councillor for the St. Vital ward.
