Winnipeg police have determined the identity of a woman fatally struck by a car at Arlington Street and William Avenue on July 30.

Police said the woman had no identification on her when she was hit. Police had called for the public's help in identifying her previously.

On Monday, officers announced the woman's family had been contacted.

Officers said the woman was taken to hospital in critical condition where she later died.

Police did not publicly release her name.

This was the second serious collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian in less than 12 hours.

Oanh Pham died during the rush hour commute Thursday morning, when she was hit by a vehicle at King Street and Logan Avenue.
