A strange set of circumstances helped Winnipeg police take a bite out of crime in a case dating back several years.
A female suspect entered a convenience store in the 800 block of Arlington Street on Oct. 15, 2007.
Armed with a knife, the suspect confronted staff with a knife and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money.
While fleeing the scene, the suspect dropped her partial plate of false teeth and left them behind.
Officers seized the teeth, with a DNA match recently made.
Police arrested a suspect on Jan. 22. She faces a charge of robbery. Officers have not released her name.
