Winnipeg police are looking for a suspect who they say followed a man and his guide dog onto a transit bus and uttered threats in September.

Around 8 a.m. on Sept. 17, a man and his guide dog were in the area of Portage Avenue and Spence Street.

A suspect approached them and began distracting the dog. The man asked the suspect to stop.

The suspect continued his behaviour and started threatening harm to the man and the dog, said police.

The victim got onto a bus heading to the Polo Park area and the suspect followed him.

The suspect continued to threaten the man and his dog, despite multiple passengers trying to intervene, said police.

The victim got off the bus and called officers.

Police said the suspect has not yet been identified.

On Dec. 5, police released surveillance images of the suspect.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact police at 204-986-2839.
