Winnipeg police are searching for two suspects after a Portage Avenue pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint of a large quantity of narcotics.

Police said the incident happened at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of Portage Avenue.

They said two suspects entered the business armed with handguns. They demanded and received a significant quantity of narcotics.

Police said they can’t release what kinds of narcotics were stolen.

The suspects were able to flee before police arrived. No one was injured.

Police are looking for two men in connection with the robbery; one man is described as white, in his 30s to early 40s, around five feet nine inches (175 cm) tall, with an average to medium build, and light brown-coloured eyebrows with crow’s feet around the eyes.

Police describe the second suspect as a man with a darker complexion, about six (182 cm) feet tall, weighing around 200 pounds with dark eyebrows and close-set eyes.
