Power has been restored to four thousand customers in downtown Winnipeg.
Manitoba Hydro says equipment failure caused a small fire at a sub-station on Edmonton Street around 4 pm. Sunday.
Four thousand customers were impacted. The number of people affected was higher because each building counts as one customer.
Power was lost in much of downtown, Osborne Village, Riverview and surrounding areas.
Traffic lights were also out downtown and police were out directing traffic.
Power was fully restored by 11:30 p.m.
