The Brandon Wheat Kings’ slogan is "It's time," and apparently the province agrees. It's unveiled a new specialty licence plate paying tribute to the hockey team.
The new licence plates go on sale Monday at all 300 of Manitoba Public Insurance's Autopac outlets.
The cost is $70, with $30 going to the Brandon Humane Society.
The Wheat Kings plate is the seventh specialty plate issued by the province.
Manitoba previously approved issuing specialty plates for the Winnipeg Jets, Blue Bombers, Goldeyes and Curl Manitoba, as well as specialty licence plates to honour veterans and firefighters.
A fish futures specialty licence plate was also issued for trailer use.
