RCMP said they have identified the victim of a fatal cabin fire near The Pas, but they are not releasing his name.
Crews were called to a cabin on Rocky Lake around 4:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4. When they arrived, the cabin was engulfed in flames.
A body was later discovered in the burnt out home. RCMP said it belonged to a 52-year-old resident of Rocky Lake.
RCMP and the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner are continuing to investigate, but they said at this time, they do not consider the fire to be suspicious.
Rocky Lake is north of The Pas in the RM of Kelsey.
