Now that the 103rd Grey Cup has come and gone in Winnipeg, the operators of Investors Group Field can turn their attention to millions of dollars in repairs and upgrades to the two-and-a-half year old building.

Work to tear up the concrete on the upper concourse is expected to begin within the next week and Triple B Stadium Inc. hopes to have the new floor poured by April 2016.

The lower bowl concourse will also be torn up and replaced. That is expected to happen in the winter and spring of 2016/2017.

Out of town fans at the Grey Cup Sunday gave glowing reviews of the stadium.

“It’s fantastic…what an amazing stadium,” said one man from Calgary.

“View lines have been good, food awesome, good flow,” added another from Edmonton.

The repairs to the stadium are expected to cost millions of dollars and are the subject of a lawsuit between Triple B Stadium Inc. and Stewart Olson Dominion Construction and Raymond SC Wan Architect.
