Manitoba's newest casino powered up the VLTs and shuffled the cards for the first time Monday.
The $20 million Sand Hills Casino covers 31,000 square feet, with table games, slots, a restaurant, and lounge and is about 50 km east of Brandon.
It's owned by Manitoba's First Nations, with the profits shared between all 63 members.
The Carberry-area facility is the third First Nations owned casino in the province, joining South Beach, and the Aseneskak Casino near The Pas.
About 160 people will be employed at Sand Hills.
