The Sherbrook Street Festival will celebrate its tenth year Saturday.

The family festival will have entertainment and activities on from noon to midnight between Wolseley and Westminster Avenues.

The event will happen alongside a Winnipeg first: a bike lane protected by concrete and parking.

"We're excited that the lane is opening just before the Festival and people will get to see it," said organizer Michelle Slota. "It's for three blocks on Sherbrook, but hopefully it's just the start of much more."

At dusk there will be an outdoor bike drive-in screening of ‘The Muppet Movie’ at the Charisma strip mall.

For kids there’s free face-painting, a bouncy house and slide, arts and crafts, cookie decorating, balloon animal making, and a circus workshop.

The main stage will feature performances by Ina Rydum, Woodshed Havoc, Attica Riots, Nathan Music Co., and Papa Mambo.

There will be outdoor beer gardens, artisan vendors, and Art City will have a photo booth.
