Residents in the West End are fuming over garbage piling up in back lanes for days.
Garbage could be seen overflowing in bins behind an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Notre Dame Avenue Saturday.
Brent Besyk said he called the city on Tuesday about the trash problem, but was told snow was to blame.
“I’ve gotten ahold of 311 and was told they couldn’t get at it because of the snow,” said Besyk. “It’s now Saturday, and it’s still here!”
Besyk believes people from around the area have been dropping garbage off near the bin, making the problem worse.
