Snowfall warnings are in effect for many communities in southwest Manitoba as a storm moves into the province from southern Alberta late on Sunday night and into Monday.

Around 10 - 25 cm of snow is expected to fall, according to Environment Canada. Winds are expected to gust up to 50 km/h.

Poor visibility and drifting and blowing snow are a possibility, causing hazardous driving conditions.

The heaviest snowfall is expected to remain in the southwestern corner of the province; however, Winnipeg and southeast Manitoba should pay attention to warnings as the system progresses.
