Manitoba campers dealt with a major headache Monday morning due to a glitch with the province’s online reservation website.
A technical issue caused the site to crash on the opening day of bookings.
Several campers trying to reserve campsites reported long delays and losing their spot in line.
The province said a server crash caused the problem.
The server was down for about 40 minutes before staff was able to reboot the system.
The site is now back up and running.
As of 10:30 a.m. Monday, 10,693 reservations had been made.
The province said it’s always reviewing how to make the site better and will do the same after Monday’s mishap.
