St. Vital Centre was evacuated Wednesday afternoon.
Multiple officers were on scene. The mall was evacuated for about 40 minutes, starting at 5:40 p.m.
Mall employees said they were told to ask customers to leave, lock doors and get out. No one would tell them what happened.
Around 6:20 p.m., people were being allowed to re-enter the mall.
Police released information shortly before 7 p.m.
"Suspicious Threat at St Vital Shopping Center investigated and determined unfounded. Mall open for business," said police in a tweet.
