Stabbing sends 21-year-old woman to hospital in critical condition; sister in custody

Winnipeg police have arrested a 17-year-old woman following a stabbing that sent her sister to hospital in critical condition Friday evening.
Officers and emergency services rushed to a home in the 900 block of Lipton Street just before 8 p.m. to find a 21-year-old woman had been stabbed and seriously injured.
Police said an investigation revealed the woman and her 17-year-old sister began arguing Friday evening when the confrontation escalated, resulting in the older sister being seriously injured.
The 21-year-old woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
Her sister was arrested at the scene and is now facing multiple charges including aggravated assault and uttering threats.
