An 18-year-old woman is facing aggravated assault charges after an incident early Sunday morning.

Winnipeg police were called to a hotel on Archibald St. around 3 a.m. Officers said the accused was taunting a 31-year-old woman when two other women, 26 and 33, asked her to leave. Then she allegedly swung at the three other women with a box-cutter, injuring them.

Police said the suspect tried to flee, but was detained by staff until officers arrived. The  victims were taken to hospital to be treated for cuts.

The 18-year-old suspect remains in custody.
