A local restaurant is facing criticism after one of its chefs used an e-cigarette in the kitchen.
Tapastry at the Niakwa Country Club posted a video showing behind-the-scenes footage of their kitchen.
Throughout that video, a chef can be seen using an e-cigarette inside.
The video was since been removed, and the restaurant has declined to comment.
A bill introduced in June would restrict the usage of e-cigarettes indoors.
The province wants to ban use of e-cigarettes in indoor public spaces where smoking is already banned, including restaurants.
But the province said it would consider allowing e-cigarette use in adult-only spaces, like bars and casinos.
The Manitoba Tobacco Reduction Alliance applauds the effort to restrict e-cigarette usage, but said the legislation doesn't go far enough.
