The Winnipeg Goldeyes will be giving away Dancing Gabe bobbleheads in conjunction with the team’s Hometown Heroes.

The annual event is held each summer in honour of the city's police, fire, and paramedic services.

On Wednesday, July 13 the Goldeyes will host the Sioux City Explorers at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 Goldeyes’ fans at Shaw Park will receive "Dancing Gabe" bobblehead, courtesy of ABC Fire & Safety.

"We are pleased to be part of the Goldeyes' Hometown Heroes Night, and especially thrilled to sponsor the 'Dancing Gabe' bobblehead giveaway," said Dave Jeanson, President and CEO of ABC Fire & Safety. "'Dancing Gabe' is an icon in our community, and he is well-deserving of this special honour."

Gabriel "Dancing Gabe" Langlois was the inspiration behind the bobblehead as he’s entertained the local sports community for more than 30 years.

"We are extremely grateful for Gabe's contributions to the City of Winnipeg, and even prouder to call him a member of the Goldeyes' family," said Goldeyes' owner Sam Katz. "Gabe is a true inspiration to everyone he encounters, and honouring him in this way is the least we could do in return for his unconditional loyalty to our local teams."
