For the second year in a row, wait times at a Winnipeg hospital emergency room are the worst in the country.
According to a website devised by the Canadian Institute for Health Information, it takes just under eight hours for an initial physician consultation at the Grace Hospital.
That's over two hours longer than the average wait time for Winnipeg hospitals and over four hours longer than the national average.
But it's an improvement from last year's average ER wait time of 9.1 hours.
St. Boniface has the next longest ER wait times in Winnipeg, at 6.7 hours.
Victoria General Hospital is third at 5.6 hours.
Health Sciences Centre and Seven Oaks have the shortest wait times, at 4.5 hours.
