Frustrations are mounting for the Winnipeg jets as the team dropped its second game in a row at home, this time 4-1 San Jose.

The game against the Sharks was close until Tyler Myers took a 5 minute major penalty for cross checking late in the third with the Jets down 2-1. During the penalty kill Jets forward Blake Wheeler thought he had scored the game tying goal after stripping the puck from Sharks goaltender Alex Stalock and putting the puck into the open net, instead wheeler was called for tripping Stalock.

“I got penalized for the goalie making a horsesh** play”, Wheeler said after the game.

The Sharks Joe Pavelski scored his 22nd of the year on the ensuing 5 on 3 power play and San Jose would add an empty net goal late.

Nikolaj Ehlers scored the Jets only goal, it was the rookie’s 7th of the year.

The Jets fall to 19-21-3 and remain last in the central division.

The Nashville Predators will be in town on Thursday.
