The local Greek community celebrated Greek Independence Day with a special performance at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Sunday.
Kids performed plays and a special dance in front of the congregation.
St. Demetrios Church is a hub for the local Greek community, which has grown to more than 5,000 people.
Greek Independence Day marks the end of the Greek War of Independence when the country left Ottoman control in 1832. It is held on March 25 each year.
On Monday, the Greek flag will fly over Winnipeg in celebration. A flag-raising event will take place at City Hall at 9:30 a.m.
In Toronto, the largest parade in the country was held on Sunday in honour of Independence Day.
