A woman died in one of two crashes that caused major delays on Manitoba roads Tuesday morning.
A 33-year-old woman from Anola died in a two vehicle collision on Highway 15. It happened just before 7:30 a.m., about two kilometres east of Dugald.
RCMP said an eastbound pickup truck and a westbound car collided head-on in the westbound lane.
The 33-year-old woman driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Paramedics rushed the driver of the pickup truck to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews shut down a five-kilometre stretch of the highway near Dugald while they investigated Tuesday morning.
Another two-vehicle crash at Broadway and Smith Street stalled traffic during the morning rush hour Tuesday. The crash happened shortly before 8 a.m.
Traffic was re-routed while tow trucks removed the vehicles from the intersection.
