Shopping Centres and Malls

cityplace - closed August 6, 2012
Grant Park Shopping Centre - open August 6th from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Kildonan Place - open August 6th from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Polo Park - open August 6th from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
St. Vital Centre - open August 6th from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
The Forks - open holiday Monday

Recycling/Garbage Collection Schedule

Single-family homes

For residents that are already receiving automated collection services for both garbage and recycling carts, collection will continue as noted on the calendar provided with the new carts.

For all other residents, there will be no recycling or garbage collection on Monday, August 6. Collection will resume on Tuesday, August 7 – Day 1 on the five-day cycle.

Multi-family apartments

Recycling and garbage collection will continue as normally scheduled.

Brady Road Landfill hours of operation

Saturday, August 4 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 5 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday, August 6 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Winnipeg Transit Holiday Service Schedule

For Monday, August 6, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Libraries

All Winnipeg Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, August 6.

Online services, including catalogue searches, requests/renewals, databases, and eBooks are available anytime at winnipeg.ca/library/.

Leisure Centres

All Leisure Centres are closed on Monday, August 6.

Regular hours of operation for Leisure Centres are in effect for Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5.

Swimming Pools

Indoor Pools

All City of Winnipeg indoor swimming pools will be closed on Monday, August 6.

Outdoor Pools

All City of Winnipeg outdoor pools will be open on Monday, August 6. Operating hours vary by pool. For more information on City of Winnipeg swimming pools visit Winnipeg.ca/cms/recreation/default.stm or call 311.

Wading Pools

The following wading pools will be open on Monday, August 6:

Amherst Park Harrow Park
Dakota Park Bronx Park
JH Bruns Park Central Park
Keenleyside Park McKittrick Park
Norquay Community Centre Shaughnessy Park
Pascoe Park Vimy Ridge Park
John Steele Park Pirates Park
Pritchard Park

Operating hours vary by wading pool, however most are open 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For schedule information, please view the wading pool schedule available online at Winnipeg.ca/cms/recreation/default.stm or call 311.

Spray Pads

All spray pads will be open on Monday, August 6 and include the following locations:

Fort Rouge Park
Lindenwoods Community Centre
Provencher Park
River Heights Community Centre
St. Norbert Community Centre
Shaughnessy Park
Central Park
Vimy Ridge Park
River East

Spray pad operating hours have been extended to 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. until further notice. For information, please visit Winnipeg.ca/cms/recreation/default.stm or call 311.

Animal Services Agency

The Animal Services Agency will be closed on Monday, August 6.

Regular weekend hours of operation for Animal Services are in effect for Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5.

Cemeteries

Cemetery grounds at Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona Cemeteries will be open for visitation from dawn to dusk over the holiday weekend including Sunday, August 5 and Monday, August 6.
