RCMP say they were called to the scene of a drowning on Cross Lake First Nation on Friday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m.
They say their investigation indicates a pair of 3-year-old girls were found unresponsive in a body of water.
One of the girls died at the scene.
Police say her name will not be released.
The other girl was resuscitated and transported to hospital for treatment.
RCMP say their investigation continues.
