Altona is getting ready to welcome nine Syrian refugees on Saturday.
Members from the community will travel to Winnipeg and welcome the family at the airport.
Their flight lands at 12:50 p.m. The nine refugees having been living in a camp in Lebanon and are all from the same family.
The seven children are between the ages of 19 and two.
Build a Village, the organization sponsoring the family, told CTV they will welcome the family at the airport and take them out to lunch.
Earlier this week, the group found housing for the family and volunteers have been busy cleaning and moving furniture into the new home.
In total, the community of Altona will welcome 45 Syrian refugees over the next few months; 35 of them are children.
