Two people are dead after an ATV collision near the town of Rivers.
Blue Hills RCMP responded to a call of a collision around 8:30 p.m., July 12, 2014, at the Rivers Reservoir spillway, 29 km northwest of Brandon.
RCMP said a 58-year-old woman from Rivers attempted to drive down an embankment when she lost control of her ATV and struck a 39-year-old man from Brandon, who was fishing.
The man was knocked into the fast-flowing water.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP say the driver was likely wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
RCMP announced Tuesday the body of the fisherman had been found partially submerged in water, about one and a half kilometres from the collision scene on July 14.
The investigation is ongoing and RCMP have not released the names of the two people.
The daughter of the woman killed told CTV her mother was an experienced rider and said the ATV malfunctioned.
Police continue to investigate.
