Brian Bowman says all six proposed legs of bus rapid transit would be complete by 2030, if he’s elected mayor of Winnipeg.
Bowman said he plans to use revenue from developments along the routes to pay for them.
Bowman said getting the bus routes completed is less about money and more about leadership.
Candidate Gord Steeves is campaigning on a pledge to cancel phase two of the first BRT line because of its price tag and location.
Bowman also promised to improve park and rides and bus shelters, while adding Wi-Fi on all buses.
