Brian Bowman is pledging to make information more accessible at City Hall if he becomes mayor.
The privacy lawyer said he would put all Council votes and expenses online.
Bowman wants to create an Office of Public Engagement that would share details about all projects with the public.
The candidate estimates that would cost around $200,000 but said he would find savings within the City's budget to staff and operate the new office.
