ST. THERESA POINT, Man. - Police say a five-year-old boy has been struck and killed in northern Manitoba by a vehicle backing out of a driveway.
Island Lake RCMP say the boy from the St. Theresa Point First Nation had just been dropped off by a school bus on Friday afternoon.
He was walking towards his house when he was hit.
The child was taken to the nursing station where he was pronounced dead.
Police are still investigating, but say alcohol and speed were not factors.
