A westbound pickup truck collided with a semi-trailer on the Trans-Canada Highway at PR 101 West, south of Brandon, in the RM of Cornwallis.

The 27-year-old Brandon man driving the pickup truck was pronounced dead on scene.

The 45-year-old semi driver from Newdale, Manitoba, wasn't hurt.

RCMP said both men were wearing seatbelts, and alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash.
