Brandon police have issued an arrest warrant for a 21-year-old man who they believe discharged a firearm, injuring a woman Saturday night.
The incident took place at home on the 800 block of 9th Street, police said.
Skylar Walter Cook from Brandon faces numerous charges, including pointing a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, discharging a firearm with intent to wound, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, threatening to cause injury or death, and theft under $5,000.
Police said the weapon used has not been recovered and he still might be in possession of the firearm.
Cook’s last known residence was on the 200 block of 15th St.
Anyone who has information on his location is asked to contact Brandon police or Crime Stoppers.
