With paper bags for yard waste in short supply for residents in Winnipeg, a company has stepped in to donate a supply of the items.

BFI Canada has donated six pallets of the bags in Coun. Paula Havixbeck’s Charleswood ward.

Winnipeggers can pick up the bags on a first-come, first-served basis at the Tuxedo Community Centre, 368 Southport Boulevard, on Oct. 23, Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., said the city.
