Just after 12 a.m. Wednesday morning a female corrections officer was assaulted at the Brandon Correctional Centre.
Police say they took a woman to the jail on a breach of the peace. When the woman got to the jail she allegedly kneed the female officer in the lower body.
The 36-year-old woman is charged with assaulting a peace officer.
