The last reviews of Dr. Robert Stark's pathology cases will be completed by next week, according to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA).

The reviews are part of an investigation that began earlier this year after officials found a number of errors in Stark's pathology reports - specifically with the way he rated severity of cancer in his patients.

An external pathologist has reviewed all 822 of Stark's cases, 31 of them were deemed questionable and are being re-examined for a final time this week.

The WRHA says the errors have not resulted in any patient receiving inadequate or inappropriate treatment.

Diagnostic Services Manitoba and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority are also conducting what's called a Critical Incident Review to determine what can de done to improve the process and prevent this from happening again.

WRHA has established a dedicated phone line to answer questions (788-8004).
