A fire left significant damages on a business in the city’s West End Wednesday night.

A fire broke out at a store at 1069 Notre Dame Avenue around 10:30 pm Wednesday.

Fire officials say the flames started outside the building and eventually spread to the inside.

No one was in the building at the time.

Winnipeg fire officials say the building had extensive smoke and water damages. Winnipeg police say the damage is estimated at approximately $250,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
