A group of people gathered at the Louise Bridge on Saturday to demand the City of Winnipeg prioritize the replacement of the aging structure.
Elmwood MLA Jim Maloway is leading the charge for a new crossing which he says the city had previously budgeted for.
He claims those funds were diverted to other projects elsewhere in the city.
The Louise Bridge is more than a century old.
About a dozen people gathered at the bridge sporting signs and t-shirts calling for it to be replaced.
