Manitoba RCMP is investigating after a gun was fired at the chapel in a Thompson hospital on Christmas Eve.

The investigation began around 4 p.m. on Tuesday when RCMP received a report of the incident at the Thompson General Hospital.

When officers got to the scene, the suspect had already been detained by hospital security.

Police investigated and determined that a suspect shot a gun in the chapel, causing a hole in the window.

No one was hurt and the weapon was seized.

A 33-year-old Thompson man is facing several charges, including discharging a firearm while being reckless and careless use of a firearm.
