The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) has made a fifth arrest in a drug trafficking investigation but is still searching for a sixth suspect.

On Thursday, police arrested and charged Cory Kozmenski with 21 offences related to drug trafficking, firearms, and court breaches.

During his arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of 13 ecstasy pills, $10,333 CAD and $400 USD, police said. He is now facing three additional charges, including possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking – ecstasy.

Kozmenski is in custody. The charges against him have not been proven in court.

CTV News Winnipeg previously reported that the WPS Guns and Gangs Unit began a drug trafficking investigation in November 2024.

Earlier in the month, officers made four arrests in connection with this investigation.

Following Kozmenski’s arrest, police are still searching for 41-year-old Kevan Anderson and have a warrant out for his arrest. He is facing 13 drug trafficking, firearm, and court breach-related charges. Police note the public should not approach Anderson as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his location is urged to contact police.

None of the charges in this investigation have been proven in court.
